Principal Message

Dear Parents & Students

Wish you a wonderful and fulfilling session ahead. I have full faith and confidence that all your dreams and hopes to see your child emerging as an achiever in scholastic and co-scholastic fields get fulfilled.

My experience of more than 30 years in the education domain has been a journey of great learning for me. As they say,” One who dares to teach must never cease to learn”. I have learnt not only from my seniors and colleagues, but also from my students and parents, through continuous interactions. Having worked in a variety of profiles that of a Senior Teacher, Academic Co-coordinator, Vice Principal and Principal, in reputed schools like Gyan Bharti, School ,Vishwa Bharati Public School and Swiss Cottage School in Delhi, SD Vidya, NOIDA and Delhi Public School Sushant lok Gurgaon, I bring with me valuable lessons in life that equip me to head this evolving institution with confidence and zeal. I have also received Top Ten Principal’s Award from NEBA-National Education Brilliance Awards. Global Talent Award i.e. GTA has honored me with their award for sustained excellence in teaching over more than 20 years and for a decade of institutional leadership, in educational reform and staff development.

I would hereby like to share some of my ethos with you.

For me, Education is a process which helps individuals become creative thinkers, learners and doers, who are self-motivated and inspired. It should help to equip them with confidence and life skills so that they become caring, sharing and contributing members of this fast ever evolving global citizenship.

Thus today the challenge is to implement a progressive system of education. This means ,“An integrated process of learning, with thematic content, triggering inquiry and questions by reflecting on projects and experiences, to produce critical thinkers, equipped with life skills who can perpetuate positive change in the society. As Gandhiji has rightfully said that what we do today will determine what we become tomorrow.

I also believe and promote the idea of “ECM -Every Child Matters and NCLB- No Child Left Behind for which special empowerment sessions with the child and parents will be conducted on a one to one basis.

The teachers are not any longer to be harbingers of knowledge but facilitators to help the skill development of the children and have to be excellent role models. Empowering teachers, through teacher appraisals and regular Empowerment Sessions will be our constant endeavor in scholastic areas. For this we will ensure that each teacher be fully equipped to face the challenges of the 21st century schools.

In the Co-scholastic domain the main focus will be on reading. DEAR; Drop Everything and Read,. Introduction of new clubs such as theater club, Model United Nations Club, Art and Craft and Home Science Club. The Impassion club will help children to develop an attitude of compassion towards underprivileged members of the society. We believe that sports is very essential for the physical development of the child.Emphasis will be laid on sporting activities with a difference.

Shanti international school is very well-equipped with its continuously improving infrastructure consisting of well-maintained fully AC classrooms, well stocked Library, Computer, Math and a state of the art Composite Science laboratory, Edunext smart classes, dynamic website, electronically maintained data (ERP) and progress reports, safe transport system with GPS enabled vehicles, automated SMS system to update the parents and CCTV’s for safety of the children.

We also have a highly experienced, well trained support staff fully dedicated to the safety, security and well being of the students.

I sincerely believe in the three way hand shake between the school, child and the parent in the quest to create a safe and secure environment for each child. My aim is not only to be an able administrator but also to be a friend, philosopher and guide to students, one whom they can count on and trust at all times. I assure you that my doors will always be open to the students and their parents for any suggestion or guidance.
